Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Thursday told an advocate that if he had any objection on externment of Kakinada pontiff Swami Paripoornananda, he could file a petition questioning the action of the police. An advocate of the High Court while making a mention before a division bench comprising Chief Justice Thottathil Bhaskaran Nair Radhakrishnan and Justice Ramesh Ranganathan asked how can the police could consider a spiritual guru as an anti-social element.

He said the externment of the pontiff was infringement of the fundamental rights and freedom of expression. The bench said that if the advocate desired to file a PIL, he could submit a letter to the Registrar General and the PIL committee would take an appropriate decision.
