Old Madras Road repair adds to motorists misery
Commuters were cursing the civic agencies for taken up road works during weekdays and its slow pace.
BENGALURU: Commuting on Old Madras Road has always been a challenge, but now negotiating the stretch at Nagavarapalya, below the railway underpass, has become even tougher as the road has been dug up for relaying.
Traffic piles up at the entrance of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) that connects Hebbal and Bengaluru International Airport apart from North Bengaluru and Manyata Tech Park.
Although the traffic gets diverted through a narrow road adjacent to the railway underpass, it was choc-a-bloc on Friday evening.
Those heading to airport had a harrowing time. In addition, the commuters have to bear the brunt of traffic jam at the Manyata Tech park, where the BDA has taken up work on building a flyover from Outer Ring Road from Manyata side on to the road connecting Tumakuru Road via Goraguntepalya.
