LPG fire: 6-year-old girl succumbs to burn injuries

Hyderabad: B. Saranya, 6, who sustained burn injuries in a fire triggered by LPG cylinder leakage at Valmikinagar in Domalguda on Tuesday, succumbed on
Wednesday.

Saranya was among seven of the family members who suffered burn injuries after they were trapped in the fire due to a LPG gas leakage at their house.

She died while undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital on Wednesday morning, police said.

Saranya's grandmother A. Padmavati, mother Dhanalakshmi, uncle Anand and brothers Vihaan and Abhinav are stated to be in critical condition and
undergoing treatment in the burn ward at Gandhi Hospital. Meanwhile, Vihaan, 7, has been shifted to Excel hospital in Alwal and his condition is also said to be critical, police said.

Saranya’s body has been shifted to Gandhi hospital mortuary for post-mortem and later handed over to her father Shyam Srinivas for last rite.
