Telangana police to check cattle smuggling

The check posts are being set up at entry pints from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Chattisgarh.

HYDERABAD: The Telangana police is setting up check posts across the state to prevent illegal transportation of cattle. The checks posts will be manned by the police, veterinary doctors and animal husbandry officials and will function round the clock. 

The check posts are being set up at entry pints from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Chattisgarh. Similarly, checks posts are also being set up on state and national highways where attacks by anti-social elements were reported.  Sources said check posts will also be set up on arterial roads leading to Hyderabad city.
