Hyderabad: IT minister K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday said “two bearded men” (TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu) have joined han-ds to defeat the TRS in the upcoming Assembly elections, but the people of Telangana were ready to make both bite the dust at the next hustings.

Mr Rama Rao was addressing a meeting at Telangana Bhavan after senior Congress leader and former speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy along with his followers from Nizamabad district joined TRS in the presence of TRS chief and caretaker CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha, ministers Poch-aram Srinivas Reddy, Etela Rajender, MP K. Keshava Rao were among those who were present.

Mr Rama Rao said, “The Congress-TD alliance is the most awkward among all the political alliances in the country. TDP founder NTR’s soul will not rest in peace because TDP was formed by NTR in the 1980s on the anti-Congress plank. But to defeat the TRS, both have formed an unholy alliance. The people of Telangana are anguished and unable to digest this unholy, unethical alliance, which is the height of political oppurtunism and are ready to teach a fitting lesson in the upcoming elections. We are happy that both joined hands as the people of Telangana have got an opportunity to give a deadly blow to both together.”
