Telangana: Nikhil takes a few steps with walker

Hyderabad: Mr Nikhil Reddy, who underwent a height-lengthening surgery some months ago, can walk a few steps with the walker, according to a committee which was formed to ensure that he gets continued care after the suspension of orthopaedic surgeon Dr Chandra Bhushan. The committee of orthopaedic doctors including Dr V.S. Reddy, Dr V.B.N. Prasad, Dr Bujji Babu and Dr V.S. Ravindranath examined Mr Reddy on Saturday.
Dr Ananth Mohan Pai of Global Hospitals said, “The committee found there was no infection in the wound. The doctors made him walk a few steps and stated that his progress was as required. Care for Nikhil Reddy will continue with the committee monitoring his progress.” Mr Nikhil Reddy along with his father visited the hospital and spoke with the committee. The doctors will examine his case papers and determine what further treatment would be required.
