Bengaluru: Cops make arrangements for VIP visits
The traffic police have advised commuters to avoid taking route from HAL to Basavangudi.
Bengaluru: The traffic police have made elaborate arrangements for the movement of VVIPs, who will come to pay their last respects to Union minister Ananth Kumar, on Tuesday. The road from HAL to Basavanagudi from 10 am will see heavy VIP movement till late Tuesday afternoon. The traffic police have advised commuters to avoid taking route from HAL to Basavangudi.
A senior police officer said that the mortal remains of Ananth Kumar will be kept at the National College Grounds in Basvangudi from early morning till 10 am. The body will then be moved to the BJP office at Malleswaram.
The mortal remains will then be taken back to National College Ground and later would to the cremation ground. The Vice-President, Defence Minister, Home Minister, BJP president Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minsiter Adityanath Yogi others are expected to arrive.
“The plan has been prepared for the VIP movement. There will be heavy VIP movement which would take place from 10 am till late afternoon from HAL to Basavanagudi and from Kempegowda International Airport to Nationals College Grounds. There will also be ministers from New Delhi who are expected to be a part of the rituals. We have requested commuters to avoid the stretch. Adequate measures are in place and the police personnel will be stationed at all critical junctions,” said a senior police official.
