Mr Kumaraswamy handed over the resolution condoling the death of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, adopted at the ABKM meeting held recently in Mumbai, to Mr Stalin.

Senior DMK leaders and former Union Minister T. R. Baalu were also present, a release from RSS and DMK said. The resolution adopted at the RSS' Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (ABKM) held from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 in Mumbai, said Karunanidhi's demise “has saddened us all.”
“His thoughts, actions and his conduct, while discharging his social responsibilities, earned him respect and recognition in society. He will now be remembered only by his memories,” it said.
All ABKM members expressed their “heartfelt condolences” by maintaining two minutes' silence, the message, dated Oct. 31, 2018, said.
The DMK stalwart had passed away here on Aug. 7 after days of hospitalisation.
