Mahakutami to witness uproar after list is out
The Telugu Desam unofficially revealed to the press, the finalisation of eleven segments that were cleared to the party so far by the Congress.
Khammam: The Mahakutami election hungama in the Khammam segment will commence only after the declaration of the list officially.
Nama Nageswara Rao, the proposed TD candidate for Khammam, is not interested in starting campaign till the tussle ends between the parties of the Mahakutami.
The Telugu Desam unofficially revealed to the press, the finalisation of eleven segments that were cleared to the party so far by the Congress.
Khammam is one among them including Sattupalli, Aswaraopet, Uppal and Nizamabad Rural. Nama Nageswara Rao’s argument is that it is not correct to commence the campaign when leaders like Potla Nageswara Rao and Vaddiraju Ravichandra are making efforts to get the Congress ticket from Khammam.
Both leaders have camped in Delhi and are lobbying with the help of their godfathers there.
Former MP Renuka Chowdhury is working for them. Nama feels that he may face the anger of the two leaders in case his campaign commences.
The two leaders are part and parcel of the Mahakutami and their support is very much needed for Nama. This attitude of the Congress and Telugu Desam is causing unrest among workers of both parties. The TRS candidate has been campaigning for the last two months in a systematic way and no banner has been displayed so far on behalf of the Mahakutami.
It is expected that this tussle will continue in Khammam till the last date of nominations on November 19. The same situation is witnessed in Wyra, Kothagudem, Yellandu and Bhadrachalam segments. Sitakka, who started campaigning in Mulugu claiming to be the Congress candidate was asked to go to Bhadrachalam.
But she told the party high command that she will contest only from Mulugu. Congress leaders who are trying for the Congress ticket have successfully campaigned against leaders who joined the Congress from the Telugu Desam along with Revanth Reddy by branding them as parachute leaders.
In Yellandu, Chimala Venkateswarlu, Congress leader is vying for the seat and Haripriya, who joined then Congress along with Revanth wants the seat too.
