Hyderabad: Despite Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s support to various initiatives taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP will not go soft on the ruling party in the state.

“People had expected that their lives would change for the better after the formation of Telangana state. But Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao used the bifurcation for his political gain. Before elections, KCR offered the moon to the people. But after coming to the power, he has not fulfilled his promises,” BJP state president Dr Laxman said.

He, in fact, stated that only the BJP had to guts to take on the TRS and banish the MIM. Dr Laxman, who has been touring various districts to strengthen the party from grass roots level with an eye on 2019 elections, said  “Since KCR had failed to fulfil electoral promises, he is focusing on the Muslim reservation issue to divert the attention of people from his unfulfilled promises including SC reservation,” Dr Laxman said.
