Hyderabad: A builder in the IT corridor has finished three apartments by going to court against notices issued by the civic bodies. He usually creates fabricated building approvals and begins construction. If he gets a notices from officials, he simply approaches courts.
Last year, he approached the High Court against HMDA’s notice. When the HMDA filed a counter, he withdrew the petition and filed another case in the district court against the panchayat raj department. As it failed in filing counter, the builder finished an apartment.
Some builders approach the courts after demolition squads bring down additional floors and secure a stay — this prevents further action. Meanwhile, the builder reconstructs the demolished floors and sells it out before the verdict. It’s believed that some officials are actually working with builders in the city to intentionally delay the filing of counters.
