Astrological beliefs in tune with K Chandrasekhar Rao's win
The timing was set in the Gurupushyam yogam which is believed to lead to victory.
Hyderabad: TRS supremo and Chief Minister designate K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s belief in ‘jyotish and puja paat’ has paid him rich dividends despite the ‘nimbu mirchi’ taunt of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As with most things, Rao even set the time for dissolving the Assembly in September based on a particular time given to him by Sringeri Mutt priests Phanisashank Sharma and Gopikrishna Sharma, sources said. The timing was set in the Gurupushyam yogam which is believed to lead to victory.
Since Mr Rao believes in the power of the number 6, he dissolved the Assembly on September 6. Several astrologers noted that with December 7 being Amavasya, it might act against Rao. But the stars were strong, which was substantiated with the safe star Sravana on December 12.
The time for his swearing-in ceremony has reportedly been set by a priest from the Yadadri temple, because the muhurat is better as it is rajayoga. His belief in the Konaipalle Venkateshwara Swamy temple in Siddipet has yielded results since the mid-1980s. He visited the temple, several times ahead of holding public meetings during the state agitation.
