Telangana: MROs to be sub-registrars
A new property registration system will be in operation from March 11 which will ensure transparency.
Hyderabad: Electronic Pattadar passbooks will be distributed to all agriculture landowners in Telangana on a single day — March 11.
Under this, he said, landowners will get instant updates on their mobiles in case of any transaction on their lands. The Rs 8,000 per acre, per year financial assistance from the government for farmers will be based on the new records.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao held an eight-hour meeting with ministers and senior officials at Pragathi Bhavan on Saturday to review the outcome of the land survey.

From March 11, registrations will be done only at mandal revenue offices and the existing 141 registration offices will come under the jurisdiction of their respective MROs.
TS has 584 mandals. Registration activities will start in 443 mandals. MROs will be given the responsibility of sub-registrars to register properties.
The revenue department will manage all revenue and registration activities henceforth and the government has appointed senior IAS officer Vakati Karuna as commissioner of registrations.
