Bengaluru: Woman bank employee alleges sexual harassment at work

Bengaluru: A 32-year-old woman employee working with a leading bank in Koramangala has accused the bank’s 10 staff members and manager for allegedly sexually and mentally harassing her.

The complainant, a business development executive, has stated that the alleged harassment continued for one year. She had worked in the Koramangala branch for last nine years, but since May last year she has been facing harassment.

The complaint also stated that despite informing the authorities, including the zonal Human Resource department head and CEO, her pleas went unheard.

Police further said the complainant has alleged that her manager would make her stay late, while others would leave. She was touched by men staff members inappropriately at times. Women would gossiped her while men passed lewd comments. Koramangala police have registered a case.
