Bhadrachalam: A special plan has been evolved for the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita.
It has been decided to hold the divine wedding on April 14 and the celebrations and Brahmotsavam will begin from April 6, Ugadi Day.
Vikari Nama Sanvastaram, New Year in Telugu Alamanc, will begin from the day. Srirama Pattabhishekam will be held on April 15 and Rathostavam will be performed to the God on the same day. Ankurarpana will be held on April 10, Garudapata Lekhanam on April 11, Agni Prathista on April 12 and Edurkolu on April 13. The administration had decided to release Rs 1 crore for the wedding arrangements.
Sitarama Kalyanam will be held on April 14 and the presiding deities will be taken on Chandraprabha Vahanam on Tiruveedhi, after the wedding. The programme Sadasyam will be performed on April 16 and Mahadasveeravachanam will be held on the day.
