HYDERABAD: A man inflicted bleeding injuries on three persons after they allegedly threw away a packet of grains kept to feed pigeons in front of a mosque at Bahadurpura early on Tuesday.
According to the police, one Noorullah Khan, 57, of NM Guda, kept a packet of jowar on a platform in front of the mosque after morning prayers. He stayed on the third floor of a building on the other side. On seeing the packet kept improperly, three persons, Mohd Naseer (Imam), Syed Naseer (muezzin) and a namazi Dastagir, threw it on the ground.
“Noorullah who saw them tossing the packet of grain shouted and abused them. An altercation ensued and the trio rushed to his house. Thinking they had come to attack him, Noorullah took a blade and inflicted bleeding wounds on them,” said Bahadurpura sub-inspector Mohd Muzaffar Ali.
On being attacked, the trio rushed downstairs and alerted locals. Bahadurpura police rushed to the spot and shifted them to Osmania hospital.
