Tamil Nadu CM inaugurates slew of projects
12 projects taken up at Rs 180 crore.
Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Tuesday inaugurated a slew of civic projects ranging from drinking water scheme, sewerage network for northern and western Tamil Nadu.
He inaugurated 12 projects that have been taken up at a cost of '180 crore, through video conferencing. He inaugurated the new schemes and buildings of Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department besides numerous completed projects and laid foundation stone for the new projects of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department through, on the occasion.
The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board’s project at Nolambur for an estimated cost of '28.35 crore and a combined drinking water scheme for '2.65 crore for Theni district were also among the projects inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
Mr Palaniswami also launched a drinking water project for Karapakkam at an outlay of '20.56 crores, a drinking water project for Maduravoyal at a cost of Rs 60.96 crores and in addition inaugurated a comprehensive drinking water scheme that has been taken up at a cost of Rs 18.80 crore for Cumbam.
Meanwhile, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Tamil Nadu government and Australian Trade and Investment Commission in the presence of Mr. Edappadi Palaniswami. The Roads Corporatin of Victoria, Australia) too signed a MoU with the State government on the occasion.
