Warangal: 20 migrant workers hurt as overloaded vehicle turns turtle
According to the police, the vehicle in which they were travelling was filled above its capacity.
Warangal: Nearly 20 migratory workers were injured, including four critically, after an the vehicle in which they were travelling overturned at the Jagannathapuram junction in Wajedu of Mulugu district.
The accident took place when the workers were returning to their home in Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh state. They workers had come to the state to pluck chillies in the farms in Besthagudem of Venkatapuram mandal.
According to the police, the vehicle in which they were travelling was filled above its capacity.
In addition to the people, 20 bags full of chillies were also loaded on top of the vehicle. The driver was speeding on the highway and lost control at a turning. The vehicle fell on its side and skidded off the road.
The injured workers were rushed to the Eturnagaram area hospital.
