Hyderabad: Short circuit causes blaze at paper godown

Hyderabad: A major fire broke out in a paper godown at Malakpet due to negligence of the store owners who did not switch off the mains. There was a power fluctuation that caused  the fire. District fire officer  Srinivas Reddy said, “The entire godown was gutted. There were oil papers due to which the fire spread rapidly but it was doused using two fire tenders and one mist bullet. The loss, according to the godown owners, is estimated to be around Rs 1 crore.”
