Hyderabad: G Kavya, rescued from marriage, gets 6.5 GPA

Hyderabad: G. Kavya, who was rescued from a child marriage on October 17, 2018, got 6.5 GPA in the SSC results that were declared on Monday.

Kavya told Deccan Chronicle said that she is happy that she has passed the exam.

Last year, as her mother was frequently ill, her parents wanted to marry her off so that she would be ‘taken care of’.

But she could sit the exams, manage the household chores and take care of her ailing mother, she said.
