Telangana: Judicial officers to go on strike

Hyderabad: The TS Judicial Employees Association on Monday gave a notice of strike to the Hyderabad High Court, stating that  its members will go on indefinite strike from July 1, 2016, if their long-pending demands were nor resolved.

After submitting the notice, association president K. Jagannatham said that they wanted long-pending issues like pay revision, promotions and other issues related the service matters resolved.

He demanded recall of the provisional allocation list of subordinate judicial officers between AP and TS and bifurcation of the Common High Court at Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, the Federation of Bar Associations of Telangana on Monday unanimously decided to continue boycott of all courts till June 17.

Federation president Gandra Mohan Rao said that the advocates will go on a relay hunger strike on June 14 and a silent procession will be taken out the next day, and Vanta Varpu will be held on June 16. He said on June 17, post cards will be sent to Andhra judicial officers to withdraw their option given to work in Telangana.
