Hyderabad: Teams to do the rounds of SCB

The SCB has introduced time-bound services for applicants seeking water connections, assessment or mutation of property and other services.

Hyderabad: SCB residents will get to meet the CEO, ward members and the officials and present their complaints to them personally. As part of the Swachh Cantonment programme, a team comprising officials who have been hitherto mostly inaccessible, will visit a ward once a week to sort out civic issues like water contamination, sanitation and road repairs.

SCB vice-president J. Rama Krishna explained, “On a particular day, a team each will visit the eight wards simultaneously. The team will include the ward member, an official from the departments of sanitation, health, water works, street lights, road engineers. The CEO will go with any of the teams. This team will tour the ward for 4 hours.”

The SCB has introduced time-bound services for applicants seeking water connections, assessment or mutation of property and other services.

The SCB has agreed in principle to sanction building plans in slums of plots less than 100 sq. yd.
