Edappadi K Palaniswami launches new police quarters in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Defending the AIADMK-BJP alliance in the recent elections in Tamil Nadu, S. P. Velumani, state municipal administration minister said, “it is the Congress-DMK alliance which has betrayed the people of the state.” The minister interacted with reporters after Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami inaugurated the fourth wing police force here and new housing quarters through video conferencing from Chennai on Thursday.

Commenting on his trip to the capital where he attended a meeting on water management with union ministers Piyush Goyal and Amit Shah, Mr. Velumani said “the demands of our state are put forward and both the ministers have assured to fulfill the state’s drinking water needs.” On the water crisis facing the state, the minister assured that the government will provide people with 2,400 mld excess water than the DMK government in the past.

Denying any rift within the party, Velumani said, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister, O Paneerselvam were guiding the party like affectionate brothers.
