Tirupati: TTD Board chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav has landed into a fresh controversy after several reports emerged that he allegedly exerted tremendous pressure on the director cum Vice-Chancellor of SVIMS T.S. Ravikumar to favour his kith and kin by giving them vacant posts in the varsity.
Dr Ravikumar reportedly levelled certain against Mr Yadav, saying that that the TTD chief pressurised him to take a decision to favour his relatives in some appointments like contingency staff at SVIMS and Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women and even for Nursing posts.
It is learnt that the director has written to TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal in which he reportedly mentioned about the pressure mounted on him by the chairman. Sources said that Dr Ravikumar also brought to the notice of the EO that the TTD chairman had continuously exerted pressure on him to take decisions against the earlier ones taken by the governing body.
Meanwhile, those close to Mr Yadav said that the allegations against him were part of a plot to get him suspended from the TTD chief’s post.
