Hyderabad: The movements of ISIS terror suspects were caught on CCTV at various places in the city when they were purchasing things for their missions. Investigators are now scouting for CCTV footage in the Secunderabad cantonment area to check claims that the arrested terror suspect module involving Yazdani’s brother was trying to hit Army camps.

The CCTV footage at Charminar bus stop shows from where the Chinese mobile phones were purchased, at Bibi Bazaar the shop from where a weighing machine was purchased and places surveyed by the terror suspects. The footage pertaining to their movement at bus stations and railway stations including Secund-erabad is being collected as evidence.

NIA in its custody petition said, “The CCTV footage of places visited by the accused have been collected. Expert reports from CERT, CFSL and FSL will be obtained shortly and these reports needs to be checked with the accused. We need custodial interrogation to check facts like reconnaissance of shelter house, hideout, training area used by the accused etc. The accused has to be taken to these places.” The report said the accused used cybercafés to download ISIS kits.

Investigators are not sure about the handler. Initially it was thought Shafi Armar, a former IM man from Karnataka was handling them but now it is claimed that a UP suspect in Syria is the handler. However there is no clarity on this issue.
