Supreme Court can't decide CM, says Kalikho Pul
Pul had taken over the office after imposition of President's Rule in February this year.
Guwahati: In what coincided with BJP’s mega initiative to translate its slogan of—“Congress Mukt North-East” into a reality, the Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled to restore the Congress government in Arunachal Pradesh.
The apex court verdict, which has cast a shadow on the fate of Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Kalikho Pul. Mr Pul had taken over the office after imposition of President’s Rule in February this year.
Mr Pul, however, said that there was no threat to his government. “The Supreme Court can not decide who will be the chief minister of the state. It will be decided on the floor of the House. We have the support of the majority of the legislators,” said Mr Pul. He also said that a review petition will be filed against the SC judgement after going through it in detail.
