Chennai: A day after Delhi police arrested a 32-youth from Kerala in Delhi for his suspected links with Islamic State, sleuths on Wednesday picked up a city based travel agent from Thanjavur a day after his marriage for readying fake passport for the arrested IS militant.

“Mohamed Mustafa, 25, a native of Athira-mapatinam in Thanjavur has been picked up by Delhi sleuths and taken to Delhi for detailed enquiry. His office in Mannadi was searched by the cops,” a police source here said.

Delhi police picked up Mustafa after the Kerala youth, Shajahan, 32, from Kannur had confessed that he got his fake passport through travel agen-cy run by Mustafa.

Shajahan was arrested at Delhi airport when he reached there from Turkey based on an alert from CIA.

Shajahan was deported from Turkey in February this year and he reportedly went back using fake passport, sources said. This time Delhi police arrested him as soon as he landed in Delhi airport. Police are trying to find out if the agency run by Mustafa had helped any other persons to get fake passports.
