TS HC Allows Andhra Pradesh Public Prosecutors to Appear for District Judge Exams

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has allowed public prosecutors working in the trial courts at Andhra Pradesh to appear for written examinations to be held for recruitment for district judge posts in Telangana state.

The Telangana High Court had recently issued the recruitment notification for filling up of district judge posts. A few public prosecutors working in Andhra Pradesh had applied for the posts, but the registrar (recruitment) of the Telangana High Court rejected their applications. Challenging the same, the candidates approached the Telangana High Court by filing a petition. The court ordered the registry to allow them to appear for the exams.

The decision would be subject to the outcome of the petition, the court said.
