TN: Medieval stone inscription found in Pudukkottai school
The stone inscription has details of a drinking water pond dug some 700 years ago.

Pudukottai: Members of the Archaeological Curation Club, Ellaippatti Government high school in Pudukkottai district have discovered an old stone inscription in their school campus, dated to the medieval period.
The stone inscription has details of a drinking water pond dug some 700 years ago, according to Manganur Manikandan, founder of the Archaeological Research Foundation, Pudukkottai, who decoded the inscriptions.
The school campus is adjacent to an old rainwater drain system and has a very old drinking water pond established 700 years ago by Thenka Veera Nadan. This information is inscribed on the stone dating back to the 13 CE.
