The company is credited with constructing the National Assembly, parliament of Afghanistan.
Hyderabad: B. Seenaiah & Company Private Limited (BSCPL), owned by Mr Bollineni Krishnaiah, a former legislator of undivided Andhra Pradesh, has bagged the Rs 369.53-crore Balanagar-Narsapur X crossroad flyover project.
The municipal administration and urban development department has given the company two years to complete the project under the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP). Its foundation stone was laid in August.
This is the second project bagged by BSCPL. Earlier, it secured a contract worth Rs 800 crore to build a flyover along with an Andhra-based firm, M. Venkat Rao Infra Project.
After the GHMC floated global tenders, the project was allocated on a merit base to BSCPL Infrastructure as it quoted 0.6352 per cent less than other bidders.
The total cost of the flyover is about Rs 104.53 crore and acquisition of 59 properties, measuring 33,176 square metres, will cost Rs 265 crore.
Mr Krishnaiah is also chairman at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences and BSCPL Infrastructure. The company is credited with constructing the National Assembly, parliament of Afghanistan. It is also involved in infra projects and flyovers world-wide. The 1,090 metre flyover will connect the crucial stretch between Balanagar and Narsapur X Road. Motorists sorely feel the need for the flyover due to the heavy traffic.
