Chennai: AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary Dhinakaran alleged that the ruling faction led by Chief Minister Palaniswami was threatening to file false cases against the MLAs supporting him, besides trying to lure them with offers of Rs 20 crore for each.
Former minister V. Senthil Balaji, who is in Coorg also alleged that Tamil Nadu police personnel came to his room in the resort and asked him “to talk to the Chief Minister”. He alleged they threatened him with false cases and arrest, apart from monetary inducements to switch over to Palaniswami camp. A day after the incident, he filed a complaint with Sunthikoppa police and sought protection. Acting on this complaint, the police has beefed up security around the resort.
