Cyberabad cops hunt for miscreants
The Madhapur police has registered two separate cases for investigation.
Hyderabad: Cyberabad police is on a hunt to catch suspects who are on the run for almost a week after damaging manual boards of the traffic signals located at two places in the IT corridor area, which are used for manual signalling.
Traffic police personnel of Madhapur and Gachibowli found that signal boards at the Botanical Garden junction and at Hitex junction were damaged by unidentified persons. They found that the barricades that were placed at the Cyber Towers junction and Shilpakala Vedika were damaged and lodged complaints with Madhapur police. The Madhapur police has registered two separate cases for investigation.
Police recovered footage of the CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity of the spot where the signals and barricades were damaged and analysed them, but reportedly could not pick up any clues.
When contacted, a police official from Cyberabad commissionerate said, “The incidents happened at night. Though the offenders were seen on the videos, they cannot be clearly identified. The videos are being sent for enhancement to the IT lab and soon the offenders will be caught.”
