KCR wants Pembarthy gold plating for Yadadri rajagopuram
The CM instructed the temple authorities that the renovation has to strictly be in accordance with Agama Sastra guidelines and traditions
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has asked for a “spectacular spiritual look” to the Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple complex at Yadadri, on the completion of its ongoing renovation works.
Rao instructed the principal secretary, finance, Ramakrishna Rao over the phone to release Rs 75 crore in the next three weeks for the works. The Chief Minister visited the Yadadri temple complex, had darshan of the deity and offered special pujas on Sunday.
Later, he inspected the renovation works for about six hours. He instructed the temple authorities that the renovation has to strictly be in accordance with Agama Sastra guidelines and traditions and there should not be any lapses as the temple had to sustain for decades.
The Chief Minister told officers to take special interest in creating infrastructure, keeping in view the requirement for several pujas and services conducted for the presiding deity. He suggested development of the temple ring road in the shape of a necklace with walking and cycling tracks, all-round greenery and illumination.
Rao wanted the Gandipet tank adjacent to the temple complex to be filled every two months by drawing water from the Kaleshwaram project. He wanted speedy completion of construction of 365 quarters and suggested that cottages should be constructed on another 200 acres. He told officials to complete the construction of Kalyana Katta, bus stand, Pushkarini Railing, and roads at the earliest.
The Chief Minister instructed the R&B Engineer-in-Chief to remove contractors who are not completing the work as per schedule. He wanted RTC officials to provide free bus service to the devotees from the bus stand to the temple.
He asked the authorities to engage goldsmiths from Pembarthy for providing gold cover to the temple tower (Rajagopuram) and the main gates.
Stating that Yadadri was famous for Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham, he told the officials to create facilities to ensure that 4,000 devotees could perform the vratham at one go. He called for parking lots that could accommodate 5,000 cars and 10,000 two-wheelers.
