Intintiki Telugu Desam fails miserably
Telugu Desam had won 12 Assembly constituencies against the total 14 along with two MP seats from the district.
Anantapur: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was unhappy with the party’s progress in Anantapur district due to poor involvement of leaders in the ongoing ‘Intintiki Telugu Desam’.
Though the party has 13 MLAs as against a total of 14 segments, two MPs and two MLCs, Mr Naidu during his review with the leaders found fault with representatives who were failing to reach out to the people.
Telugu Desam had won 12 Assembly constituencies against the total 14 along with two MP seats from the district. Further, Kadiri MLA of YSRC Mr A. Chand Bhasha had shifted loyalties towards TD one year ago as only one opposition party MLA existed.
In addition, the party had two MLCs from the district. Even as the party tasted victory from all parts of the district, the party’s prestigious programme of Intintiki Telugu Desam failed to reach out to the people.
