Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam to renovate potu scientifically
In the last five years, about 68,851 Sevakulu from 538 batches have performed Parakamani Seva in Tirumala.
Tirupati: To increase the production of the most sought after laddu prasadam, there is a need to modernise potu in a scientific manner, asserted TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal.
A review meeting was held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, along with Tirumala JEO K.S. Sreenivasa Raju on the development aspects of Padi and Boondi Potu. The EO instructed the concerned authorities to enhance the production of laddus and directed the JEO, Tirumala to find a suitable place adjacent to Boondi Potu to store the laddus.
Later, the EO instructed the officials concerned to invite renowned sweet sellers like and get their suggestions to renovate the Potu scientifically.
"Create a favourable environment in boondi potu for the workers so that the production of laddus and work efficiency could be increased", he observed.
He said, the Parakamani Sevakulu have been rendering good services from the past five years. In the last five years, about 68,851 sevakulu from 538 batches have performed Parakamani Seva in Tirumala and Tirupati. "To extract much better services from them, there need to revive the existing system which would be done soon. For that the user department should come out with a concrete action plan of their requirements", the EO reiterated.
Further he instructed the Srivari Seva officials to impart training to Parakamani Sevakulu accordingly and enhance their quality of service. The EO also said, the sevakulu hailing from private banks can also be given an opportunity with an age limit of 60 years for a period of three months.
