Chennai citizens' spirit shines on streets

Chennai: Cyclone Vardah could have thrown life out of gear, but not the spirit of Chennaiites. A day after the city resembled like an island, people stepped out to lend to help the locality get back to normalcy.  

Though there was no need of relief camps, people were alert in tracking the situation and stocking up the groceries to reach out to the needy.

Having received the highest rainfall of 38cm, Sathyabama University was in chaos - as water entered the hostels and darkness engulfed. However, they received help within no time as fisherfolk from Ennore rescued them through boats.
