AP govt announces allocation of Rs 1,000 crore for Muslims in next fiscal year
Naidu also said that a socio-economic survey would be conducted to assess the conditions of other backward and minority communities in AP.
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday announced allocation of Rs 1000 crore towards the welfare of Muslims from the next Financial Year.
"The government would provide Rs 1000 crore for the Muslim community in the state from next financial year," an official release quoted Naidu as saying.
Earlier in the day, a delegation of several Muslim groups from across the state called upon the CM at his Camp Officer here.
Naidu also said that a socio-economic survey would be conducted to assess the living conditions of various backward and minority communities in the state.
"The government would also allocate funds to backward communities based on the survey and its recommendations," he said.
