AP Cabinet decides to set up 3 UDAs

The Godavari urban development authority would cover 280 villages in 26 mandals and six municipalities spread over 2,215.50 sq km.

Vijayawada: The AP Cabinet on Tuesday decided to set up three urban developments, two in Rayalaseema and one in the Godavar region.

The Anantapur-Hindupur urban development authority will cover 3,098.46 sq. km in 18 mandals, three municipalities and 180 villages. The Kurnool urban development authority will cover four municipalities, eight mandals and 117 villages, minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy told the media after the Cabinet meeting.

The Godavari urban development authority would cover 280 villages in  26 mandals and six municipalities spread over 2,215.50 sq km.

The Cabinet has congratulated Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao for successfully organising of National Women’s Parliament.

According to the minister, the other decisions were:

* Ammaku Vandanam programme to be organised in schools;

* Additional Rs 30,000 to be paid for building works under Chandranna Bheema.

* Auction 350 acres in Keesara and eight commercial establishments in Vijayawada.

* Cyber security, IOT, machine learning, fintech courses to be introduced in colleges.
