Telangana: KG-to-PG education centres put forth demands
The institutes are unhappy with the state government's inaction about the promise to provide KG to PG free education.
Hyderabad: Private institutes, which formed a joint action committee (JAC) to seek implementation of KG to PG education scheme, said on Wednesday that the government was spoiling their image by alleging that they were commercialising education by hiking fees.
The institutes are unhappy with the state government’s inaction about the promise to provide KG to PG free education.
The executive members of the JAC also alleged that government was trying to discriminate against private educational institutions.
They demanded that the government provide them subsidy on property taxes and power charges, along with exemptions from fire safety norms. They also asked for lifting of the toll tax on school buses.
The JAC said all institutions should be allocated two acres of land to successfully implement the KG to PG free education scheme.
