128 Maoists killed in three years: Chhattisgarh panchayat raj minister

Chandrakar said total 210 security personnel and eight Maoists were injured in the encounters during the period.

Raipur: Chhattisgarh government on Monday said 128 Maoists and 100 security personnel were killed in 543 encounters in the state in the past three years.

Making a statement in the Chhattisgarh Assembly, state panchayat raj minister Ajey Chandrakar said total 210 security personnel and eight Maoists were injured in the encounters during the period.

South Bastar districts of Bijapur and Sukma accounted for maximum casualties among Maoists and security forces during the period, he added.
