KANNUR: A start-up company based at Kannur University Business Incubation Centre has started a unique social network platform for purely academic purpose. “Wing20.com” is a cloud-based platform for community learning and study material exchange by connecting students, teachers and professionals across the country. According to the company, the platform is getting good response from the stakeholders and it is planning to launch mobile android app also.
The platform will enable the students and teachers from various institutions and universities to interact with each other and also share knowledge. “Various universities are following different syllabi and most may not be updated to the present status of a particular course.
This platform will help them understand the recent trends and changes in the subject. We are also connecting the professionals, who have already done the course, with the students and teachers so that they will get an idea of what exactly is happening in the field,” said Shyju Chathampalli, the CEO of Wing20 Edulabs.

Apart from Shyju, the co-founders of this venture are Vineeth Nambiar, Binith K.P. and Remiz Muhammed. They started working on the concept during their MBA course in 2009. They have also approached the varsity to take up the platform for its affiliated institutions.
