Hyderabad: Duped, man tries to end life

At the end of the 10-day tenure, Akbar friends started asking for their money. This led to Akbar to take the extreme step.

Hyderabad: A man tried to commit suicide by consuming poison at his residence in Chandrayangutta on Saturday. The victim, Ghulam Akbar, 35, was cheated by some people in an investment scheme, Chandrayangutta inspector A. B. Naik said.  Akbar took a loan of Rs 2 lakh from his friends and gave it to people who ran the scheme. At the end of the 10-day tenure, his friends started asking for their money. This led to Akbar to take the extreme step.
