Telangana districts facing heat and rain

Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department said on Saturday that some isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Medak and Khammam could experience heatwave conditions on Sunday.

On Saturday, maximum temperatures remained between 41-42°C and the highest temperature was recorded at 45°C at Ramagundam in Karimnagar.

Medak experienced an imressive 17mm rainfall on Saturday. Some parts of Warangal also experienced good rainfall later in the night. Meanwhile, IMD said conditions were becoming extremely  favourable for the onset of the southwest Monsoon over Nicobar Islands, South Andaman sea and parts of Bay of Bengal around May 17.
