Rajinikanth fans threaten to end life

Salem: Ardent fans of superstar Rajinikanth threatened to commit suicide by self-immolation in front of the actor’s house in Chennai, if they were denied an opportunity to meet him.

A S Rajini Senthil, legal advisor to the Salem District Rajini Fans Association told journalists, after convening a meeting with fans here on Sunday, that tokens were issued to fans to pose for a photo with the superstar. For Salem district, 250 to 300 tokens were issued to the fan club association to be distributed to the actor’s fans.

He alleged that the person in-charge of issuing tokens sold them and also gave them to his relatives. “Due to this, many real fans of Rajini lost the opportunity to meet our thalaivar. We should be allowed to take a photo with Rajini, or else we will commit suicide by self-immolation in front of his house,” said Rajini Senthil.
