Dhivakaran brushes aside former sister's legal notice
Dhivakaran said he would commence his state-wide tour to unite all the real AIADMK cadres at the lower level into his Amma Wing'.
Mannargudi: Dissenting AIADMK functionary Mr. Dhivakaran, brother of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s jailed aide, Ms. V K Sasikala, who recently revived the ‘AIADMK AMMA Wing’, said that his wing will attempt to unite all groups of the party run by several persons and consolidate the AIADMK to fulfill the ideals of party founder MGR and her late successor Jayalalithaa.
Addressing a press conference at Mannargudi on Monday, Mr. Dhivakaran said, he would not speak about his “former sister Mrs Sasikala” anymore after her lawyer had served a legal notice on him not to take her name in public. However, anybody could be criticised in public life in a decent manner and based on that principle he too would function in politics, said Dhivakaran. Dhivakaran, recently suspended from the party, ducked a question whether he would make any attempt to secure the early release of his elder sister Ms. V K Sasikala, now lodged in a jail in Bengaluru. “Such attempts have already been defeated by someone in the party,” he said. He blamed his nephew T T V Dhinakaran, who separated Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and his Deputy, Mr. O.Panneerselvam from Sasikala in the same way Dhinakaran “has now made me an enemy of Sasikala,” said Mr. Dhivakaran. Stating that he would continue to work for the “retrieval” of Tamil Nadu’s rights in Cauvery issue, Dhivakaran said he would commence his state-wide tour to unite all the real AIADMK cadres at the lower level into his ‘Amma Wing’.
