Man who runs free ambulance gets gift of house from actor Raghava Lawrence

The social worker, Ganesan, is running free ambulance service for accident emergency and delivery cases.

Pudukkottai: Popular film actor Raghava Lawrence gave fresh lease of life to a 70-year-old social worker and one of the victims of Gaja cyclone, by constructing a new house valued at Rs 10 lakh, and handed over the same to him at a brief ceremony held at Alangudi near here, on Tuesday.

The social worker, Ganesan, is running free ambulance service for accident emergency and delivery cases, besides conducting the funeral of unclaimed bodies, for which he has been given awards by various organisations.

Ganesan’s thatched house was fully damaged during Gaja cyclone which was noticed by Raghava Lawrence when he visited the cyclone-affected areas, and there he decided to construct a house for Ganesan at an estimated cost of Rs 10 lakh.

Raghava Lawrence handed over the new house to Ganesan and a grateful, teary-eyed Ganesan thanked Lawrence with folded hands.
