Allocation of AP staff to Telangana angers TNGOs
TNGOs are opposing the allocation, saying that all the 105 officials hail from AP region.
Hyderabad: The tentative allocation of 105 officials, including section officers and assistant section officers to the TS Secretariat by the Kamalanathan panel is snowballing into yet another controversy. TNGOs are opposing the allocation, saying that all these 105 officials hail from AP region. TNGO’s honorary president G. Deviprasad said that Telangana native staff working in Secretariat would not get service promotions for the next five to six years if Andhra native staff is allotted here.
“This decision is unacceptable since 34 vacancies exist in the AP government. Without filling vacancies in AP, how can the panel allot them to Telangana,” he fumed. TNGO Secretariat wing president Shravan Kumar Reddy said that they would meet Chief Secretary and ask the TS government to intervene and ensure justice to Telangana employees.
“This is a tentative list and we have time till June 21 to file objections,” Mr Reddy said, hoping all anomalies would be set right when the final list is announced on June 22. Meanwhile, Telangana staff working with the AP government performed ‘Palabhishekham” (cleansing with milk) to KCR’s portrait at Secretariat in response to his decision to give postings to all 883 in the government. TRS MLA V. Srinivas Goud was present on the occasion.
