Komatireddy ready to take on Gutta Sukhender Reddy
Venkata Reddy said that if Mr Sukhender Reddy and Mr Bhaskar Rao have any ethics they should immediately resign.
Hyderabad: Accusing Nalgonda MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy and Miryalguda MLA Bhaskar Rao of quitting the party for personal gain, Congress senior leader Komatireddy Venkata Reddy on Tuesday demanded they resign from their seats and contest again. “They will not win if they resign and seek a fresh mandate. If they do win, I will take political retirement,” he said.
Referring to the MP’s statement that he would resign at an appropriate time, Mr Venkata Reddy said, “He should resign now. Congress gave tickets and lakhs of party leaders and workers elected him with the support of the people. Workers like me also contributed to his win.” Mr Venkata Reddy said that if Mr Sukhender Reddy and Mr Bhaskar Rao have any ethics they should immediately resign.
“You (Sukhender Reddy) are a three-time MP. You should be a role model. Contest and win. If you win I will take political retirement,” he said. “I will take on Sukhender Reddy if the party asks me to contest against him,” he continued.
Meanwhile, party senior leader V. Hanumantha Rao asked the Congress cadre not to worry about leaders leaving. “Jana Reddy should take the lead and strengthen the party in TS,” he said. Telangana.
