Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court has faulted the HMDA for cancelling the registration of land in favour of Alexandra Health City Hyderabad Pvt. Ltd.

A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice J. Uma Devi dismissed an appeal filed by the HMDA to uphold the order of a single judge.

Alexandra Health City told the court that it had purchased 5 acres at Khanamet near Hitec City in 2008 and paid Rs 10 crore. The HMDA had registered the land in its name. It said that in 2012, the HMDA commissioner issued orders cancelling the registration. It moved the High Court which faulted the action of the HMDA and set aside the cancellation orders.

Questioning the HMDA for cancelling the sale deed once the sale consideration was fulfilled, the bench refused to intervene in the order of the single judge.
