EX-DMK MP Sivasubramanian passes away at 81 in Ariyalur

JAYAMKONDAN: Former DMK Rajya Sabha Member Sivasubramaniayan died after a brief illness at a private hospital at Ariyalur on Friday.
 He was 81.

Mr. Sivasubramanian was also former MLA of Andimadam Assembly constituency, and two-term chairman of the Andimadam Panchayat union.

He was also the party's former Perambalur district secretary and a close associate of late Chief Minister M. Karunannidhi and other senior leaders of the party. He was serving as a member of the party by-laws amendment committee.

He is survived by his wife and two sons including former DMK MLA of Kunnam and the party's Ariyalur district secretary S.Sivasankar.
